Mantis-2 is a portable, multi-sensor target observation and surveillance system based on mantis 1 for maximum persistent terrain dominance by both vehicle-mounted and dismounted personnel from a safe distance. Man-portable integrated surveillance system for tactical operations and defence missions specially designed for various field conditions, it is carriable by backpack, quickly deployable and easy to easy to operate. Unlike other systems, the entire process of calibrating the mantis 2 electro-optics and radar with its tablet displayed map takes a matter of minutes. Mantis 2 is innovative in that it brings integrated capabilities to forces on the move. Radar detection and live video from mantis 2 are streamed to a portable device via wifi, cellular or cable communication. This information is disseminated quickly for a rapid tactical response to emerging threats.
