Focusing on precision and accuracy

Beesense’s Protection Circle concept presents: The third and fourth circles, enhancing target identification and characterisation, contributing to the overall strength and effectiveness of the defence strategy.

When it comes to security, staying one step ahead of potential threats is crucial.

Beesense has taken a leap forward with its approach to security with its unique Protection Circle concept. This innovative strategy incorporates five overlapping layers of multi-sensor systems to deliver comprehensive coverage of any protected area, setting a new standard in security measures. These systems serve as observation platforms, anchored by day and night cameras for the explicit purpose of target acquisition.

The Protection Circle concept enhances situational awareness and provides robust defence against potential infiltrations.

The first layer of the protective circle is the Virtual Fence Circle, which incorporates the FIREFLY system. Acting as an initial line of defence, this layer creates a virtual barrier that effectively detects any intrusion or unusual activity within its designated range. Moving on to the second layer, we encounter the Tactical Circle, which offers an expanded coverage range of 2km. Powered by the Mantis system this layer brings enhanced surveillance and detection capabilities, making it ideal for covering larger areas.

Our focus in this article is on the third and fourth layers.

The third layer, also referred to as the operational circle, plays a crucial role in the protection circle concept. Its primary focus is targeting identification and characterisation within a range of 2km to 4km; powering this layer is the BEE-1 camera system, which provides reliable surveillance and monitoring over an even broader range.

The BEE-1 camera system is a dual-sensor observation system renowned for its exceptional performance day and night. Leveraging Thermal and CMOS Technology, it offers short-range detection and observation capabilities, ensuring potential threats are detected and monitored with unparalleled accuracy.

Engineered to withstand the most challenging environments and weather conditions, the BEE-1 represents resilience and reliability in its finest form. Its versatility allows for a wide array of security applications, seamlessly integrating into the operational circle and further enhancing target identification and characterisation, contributing to the overall strength and effectiveness of the defence strategy.

The BEE-1 system’s distinguishing features certainly warrant a closer look. They provide a strategic advantage to users, as they are cost-effective solutions designed for medium-range operations. Both the BEE-1 and its accompanying systems are uncooled. They are cost-effective in terms of system pricing, operation, and maintenance. When comparing an uncooled system with a cooled system in terms of life cycle cost, the cost for a cooled system can be more than five times higher.

Moving on to the fourth layer of the Protection Circle concept, we encounter the mid-to-long-range observation coverage. This layer utilizes the powerful BEE-3 uncooled system, which offers accurate and efficient surveillance over distances of up to 12km. Like the third layer, the fourth layer also focuses on target observation but covers a broader range. The BEE-3 uncooled system provides exceptional surveillance capabilities for tasks with a security orientation. By extending the operational circle, the fourth layer complements the third layer, creating a comprehensive defence system that leaves no room for compromise.

Key Technical Advantages:

Day Channel: These systems are equipped with high-definition (HD) daytime channels that provide superior resolution, offering sharper images than thermal channels.

Day Channel: The daytime channels also employ CMOS detectors, enhancing their operational effectiveness.

Zoom Lens: This feature enables users to acquire and lock onto targets, ensuring they aren’t lost during the tracking and investigation process.

IR-CUT Mode: The systems feature an IR-CUT filter that can be ejected from the lens to increase sensitivity in the Near IR (NIR) range. This feature proves particularly crucial during twilight hours or at night when there’s insufficient ambient lighting.

Image Stabilisation: Both the BEE-1 and accompanying systems offer dual-level stabilisation: mechanical stabilisation provided by the gimbal and digital stabilisation at the detector level.

Focus: The systems allow for both manual and automatic focus, with easy switching between the two facilitated by the C2.

ONVIF Protocol: This standard protocol enables the systems to be connected to any control and management system, negating the need for special integration.

Night Camera: The BEE-1 and accompanying systems provide high-quality images even in total darkness. In comparison to CCTV, they deliver sharp imaging without the need for external active illumination.

Detection Ranges: The detection ranges of these systems vary from 4 to 8 kilometres (for human targets).

In conclusion, Beesense’s Protection Circle concept represents a significant leap forward in security solutions. By incorporating five overlapping layers, each with its own specialised multi-sensor systems, Beesense ensures comprehensive coverage and robust defence for any protected area. The BEE-1 and BEE-3 camera systems, powering the third and fourth layers, respectively, play vital roles in target identification, observation, and characterisation.

With its advanced technology, reliability, and resilience, the Protection Circle concept by Beesense provides peace of mind, safeguarding our communities and ensuring the safety and security of all. As threats continue to evolve, Beesense remains at the forefront of innovation, dedicated to delivering advanced defence solutions for a safer tomorrow.
